Nuclear protest poem

Gigantic ship pushing through waves of protesters,

Hundreds of boats surround the shores

I feel so peaceful today

such a beautiful day

to protest or fish

be strong for our country

I hear people praying

I am so excited

shout and scream’s

A sight to see

people yelling

Nuclear ship coming towards me

Bone gone

In the last five minutes I could hear my commander shouting, “all hands on deck”. Me and my comrades ran as fast as we could and sat down port side facing starboard.. I could feel my hand shivering with fear and my heart leaping from place to place, our commander was still screaming at us, “put your goggles on.” We quickly put on our goggles hearing, “sixty more seconds till Bomb Gone 60 50 40 30 20 10 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1 Bomb Gone!”I covered my eyes with my hand shaking with terror. I could see through my hands to my bones. As I turned a magnificently colored mushroom cloud moved up in the sky. I felt sweat coming down from my neck like boiling water. The Commander screams and counts up from 1 – 15. “Take off your googles, stand and face the burst!.”
